I think I’ve sat down to write this review 7-8 times; there’s just so much that I can say!! I read this book in one day and once I can power through the tears; I’ll read it again.
This book gives you an intimate look at just what a mother (a family) goes through when they experience the loss of a child. The author is transparent, vulnerable, and extremely informative— which all seamlessly comes across in her writing. I felt as if I somehow was transported to the moments she shared. We absolutely have NO IDEA what someone is going through and this book gives an eerily accurate account at what loss looks like.
I thank Mrs. Sims for writing this amazing book— she not only shared her story, but she provides tools and nuggets of wisdom to help you through such a time; no matter what end of the spectrum you happen to be on.
Don’t just buy this book for yourself– buy it for someone you know. Even if you haven’t experienced a loss– knowing what that looks like will better equip you to address someone who has.
This woman took a heartbreaking experience and is sharing it with us out of love. We all have had losses but I have yet to read a book like this one. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us.
